HISTORY—Partial reprint from Aug. 8, 1973, West Seattle Herald

After 21 years in the jewelry business, Mildred and Ernie Teague have turned their West Seattle junction location over to the capable ownership of a young couple, Jack Menashe and his wife, Linda Michelott, a 1965 graduate of West Seattle High School whose family has lived in West Seattle for 40 years. The coupel are parents of a three-month old son, Joshua Jeffery. Walter Beldi who has been heaqd of watch repair for Teagues for 12.5 years will remain with the new owners.

Menashe came into the business with a broad background in appraising and custom designing, as well as extensive knowledge of the general field of jewelry, which he says he learned "from the bottom up," starting as the stock boy for a downtown jewelry firm.

During his high school years at Franklin High School and while studying business at the University of Washington, Menashe continued with the firm, working his way up the ladder to diamond counsellor for the Southcenter store, and for the past five years was assistant manager.

Today, Menashe & Sons has been a part of the West Seattle Junction for over 33 years and we look forward to serving our customers for many more.
